Vinted Shoppers Express Frustration Over Size Updates
Shoppers are voicing their frustration due to a modification that led to listings displaying inaccurate size information.
The second-hand shopping app has altered its size classifications for women's and children's garments but did not contact all users about the change.
Digital Channels Reaction
Numerous buyers and vendors are posting online stating that platform listings now display a different size category compared to what was initially listed as a result of the reclassification.
The company said the new system was more in line with comparable marketplaces.
It has advised users to examine their items and update the measurements by hand if necessary, resulting in member annoyance.
Size Classification Changes
Before the change, the measurements included a single numeric size and a letter, for instance S/8 or M/10.
The new system has a letter and a range like S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the measurements have been reclassified - for example a size L was previously a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18.

Frankie Bridger, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," as the platform currently indicates.
Another user, based in Glasgow, said garments she listed on Vinted with size 14 labels were showing in the marketplace as larger sizing 20-22.
"If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they're going to be very disappointed," she explained.
Necessary Adjustments
A different user, based in Derby, stated she felt frustrated because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizing for "all her products".
"This situation is especially annoying, because of my ongoing medical condition and Vinted sales have been crucial after experiencing income reduction," she explained.
Service Background
The platform boasts over 100 million shoppers, including 18 million in the UK.
It has become a favored option versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This isn't the first time where an unanticipated change to the app has proved unpopular: last year, Vinted reversed a change concerning shipment methods after backlash from users.
